Day 1 Thursday New York – Buenos Aires January 15
Flight to Buenos Aires
Day 2 Friday Buenos Aires January 16
Arrival to Buenos Aires and transfer to the hotel.
After some sightseeing of the beautiful capital of Argentina we will return to the hotel for Shabbat preparations.
Shabbat Services followed by Shabbat Dinner.
Day 3 Shabbat Buenos Aires January 17
After Shabbat Services and lunch we will stroll with our guide in the vicinity if the hotel.
Day 4 Sunday Buenso Aires – Bariloche January 18
Fly to Bariloche
Bariloche is the Chocolate capital of Argentina, lying on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi. Surrounded by mountains and forests, it is one of the most attractive cities in the world. We will tour the city, then take a lift to the top of Cerro Campaniero and enjoy the stunning views of the lakes.
Day 5 Monday Chile – Puerto Montt January 19
Cross the border to Chile.
We will take a boat ride on All Saints Lake (Todos Los Santos), where we will see the Patrohue Waterfalls, with the Osorno Volcano that towers just behind them.
Overnight in Puerto Montt the Capital of the Lake District.
Day 6 Tuesday Puenta Arenas & Penguin Colonies January 20
Flight to Puenta Arenas
After a short visit at the Fishermans Market we will transfer to the airport for our flight to Puenta Arenas a city located in the extreme south of continental Chile, located on the Straits of Magellan. We will visit the Penguin Colonies and continue through the Patagonian Desert to Puerto Natals; gateway to the world-renowned Torres del Paine National Park.
Days 7-8 Wednesday/Thursday Torres del Paine National Park January 21/22
For the next two day we will be visiting the National Park. Its main attraction is the "towers" themselves. They are impressive rock formations named "Torres del Paine" (Towers of Paine). We will sail the Ultima Esperanza ("Last Hope") fjord in the north, and continue walking through the spectacular National Park. The Park offers a wide variety of scenery, from waterfalls to Lakes into which glaciers feed, producing icebergs of fantastic shapes in a surreal blue.
Day 9 Friday Calafata January 23
We cross the border back to Argentina, on our way to Calafata near Lago Argentino.
In El Calafate you will find yourself at the gateway to the majestic world of glaciers.
Transfer to the hotel for Shabbat preparations.
Shabbat Services followed by Shabbat Dinner.
Day 10 Shabbat Calafata January 24
After Shabbat Services and lunch we will stroll with the guide in the vicinity if the Hotel.
Day 11 Sunday Calafata Glaciers Cruise January 25
Our excursion today will start on a boat that will be navigating around the northern arm of Lake Argentino with icebergs floating around the lake. We will see the incredible Upsala, Onelli and Spegazzin Glaciers.
Day 12 Monday Perito Moreno Glacier
Buenos Aires January 26
Today we will visit the incredible Perito Moreno Glacier. We can enjoy the experience of this colossus of ice where enormous blocks of ice fall with thunderous crashing into Lake Argentino.
Transfer to the airport for our flight to Buenos Aires.
Transfer to the Hotel.
Day 13 Tuesday Buenos Aires – Iguassu Falls January 27
Transfer to the airport for our flight to Iguassu Falls.
The name of the falls comes from The Indian word meaning "great water". In 1986 Iguassu Falls were declared a Natural Heritage of Mankind by Unesco. We will start with the Argentine side of the falls, on a walkway built over the river and alongside the falls. Allowing you to experience the majesty of Iguassu from up close. You can see, hear and feel the water falling 80m from the plateau to the bottom at many of the 275 separate falls. We will then take a boat ride up and around some of the falls and close to the "The Devil’s Throat" Or" Gargantua del Diablo" the largest waterfall display in the world.
Day 14 Wednesday Iguassu Falls January 28
Today we will tour the Brazilian side of the falls. We will visit Itaipu, the largest hydroelectric dam of its type in the world and take a zodiac boat ride to the falls.
Day 15 Thursday Rio De Janeiro January 29
Transfer to the airport for our flight to Rio De Janeiro
Rio is one of the most spectacular cities in the world, planted between a magnificent bay, dazzling beaches and an abruptly rising mountain range. It is covered by a luxuriant tropical forest. Upon arrival we will go to the hotel and then in the evening we will tour the city.
Day 16 Friday Rio De Janeiro January 30
We will visit the town center and the picturesque Santa Teresa neighbourhood located on top of the Santa Teresa hill. The centre of Rio is famous for its winding, narrow streets which are a favourite spot for artists and tourists. We will drive along the famous beaches and pick up the cable car that will take us to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain for wonderful views of Rio de Janeiro.
After the tour we return to the hotel for Shabbat preparations.
Shabbat Service followed by Shabbat Dinner.
Day 17 Shabbat Rio De Janeiro January 31
After Shabbat Services and lunch, stroll with your guide in the vicinity of the hotel.
Day 18 Sunday Rio De Janeiro February 1
The cog train journey will take us through the dense Atlantic rain forest of Tijuca. You will see breathtaking views of Rio from the mountain top.
Day 19 Monday Rio De Janeiro
New York February 2
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
